              _ Public Water Supply District No. 1 of DeKalb County is seeking qualified applicants to fill the following vacant position:

              District Manager – manages, coordinates, and oversees the maintenance, repair, & operation of district utility systems. Ensures all work complies with federal, state, and local codes and regulations. Assigns, assists, communicates, supervises, and evaluates work performed by district staff, contractors, and vendors, while ensuring code and regulatory compliance.  Provides cost estimates, locates vendors, prepares annual budget, tracks expenses, prepares reports, schedules staff, prioritizes district projects, determines supplies and equipment needed, and assures all work is done satisfactorily. Helps district engineer develop plans and specifications for construction and renovation projects.

              Required: Associate degree in mechanical engineering and 3 years of  commercial mechanical, electrical, plumbing and supervisory experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field or vocation sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Position requires a water certification --Class DS-2 license (or ability to obtain), ability to read / understand engineered drawings, must have good communication and managerial skills;  both oral and written, valid driver’s license,  requires heavy work/ lifting exerting up to 100lbs. of force occasionally, and /or up to 50lbs. of force frequently.               The District: PWSD #1 DeKalb County is a public utility spread throughout 7

              counties in Northwest Missouri with the district office located in Clarksdale. The

              district currently has 984 miles of water distribution line, 7 pump stations, 6 water storage facilities, and a maintenance/ equipment storage building. The district is comprised of  5 sub-districts ran by publicly elected board members of the respective sub-districts.
